All household goods and personal effects entering Canada are subject to
inspection at the discretion of revenue Canada.
The general application in Canada is that if you are authorized by the government to
reside in Canada, you may import all of your possessions which were in your care prior to
your entry in the country.
THERE ARE FOUR MAJOR ENTRY CATEGORIES:
- Returning canadian
- Work/student visa
- Diplomatic
- Landed immigrant

In all instances, the following documentation must be submitted to customs Canada.
- Passport
- Proof of status in Canada
- Shippers declaration with customs stamp
(this is obtained on the client’s arrival at Canadian port of entry. Completion of
Canada customs b-4 with descriptive inventory of goods should be completed
upon this entry.)
